2026 Classic Accuracy National Championships
The 54th Classic Accuracy National Championships will be held at South Cerney airfield, Gloucestershire, on 11-12th July by kind permission of Birdwings Airsports. The competition is also the British leg of the European Grand Prix and there will be stiff competition from our French and Dutch friends for the international honours. The event will be a tow launch open to both parascending and paragliding wings, and landing is on an inflatable tuffet.
There will be practice flying on Friday 10th July if there are five or more pilots available. The Bentley Bar will be open Friday and Saturday evening, and there will be a Scout BBQ on Saturday evening.
The main event is open to pilots who have a minimum Club Pilot Tow rating. Only parachutes / parascending wings can compete for the national individual award, but all wing types are allowed in the team event. There will be an award for best UK paraglider pilot, and all wing types can compete for the best female pilot, best newcomer, best young pilot, best veteran, and most improved pilot subject to there being a minimum of three pilots contesting each category.
There will also be a novice competition open to UK pilots without a rating, or UK pilots who have held a Club Pilot rating for no more than 24 months, are entering the novice competition for the first time since achieving Club Pilot status and have not previously won the novice competition. Pilots without a rating must be accompanied by their own instructor.
