2026 Paragliding Accuracy National Championships

The 21st Paragliding Accuracy National Championships will be held in North Wales on the weekend of 23-25th May by kind permission of the North Wales Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club.

The main event is open to pilots who have a minimum Club Pilot rating. As well as individual and team awards there will be awards for best female pilot, best junior (26 and under), best master (over 55), best newcomer and most improved pilot subject to there being a minimum of three pilots contesting each category. There will also be a novice competition open to UK pilots without a rating, or UK pilots who have held a Club Pilot rating for no more than 24 months, are entering the novice competition for the first time since achieving Club Pilot status and have not previously won the novice competition. Pilots without a rating must be accompanied by their own instructor. Pilots wishing to enter the novice competition should complete the 'Novice Entry Form' below. Entries received by 10th May 2026 will be £95, and £115 after this date. Students under the age of 23 have half price entry, and novices will have a £10 discount. Entries will be accepted up to 8.00 hrs on Saturday 23rd May 2026. Registration will be on Friday 22nd May (19.00 – 22.00) and Saturday 23rd May (07.00 – 08.00), with the Saturday briefing taking place at 09.00.

 

Headquarters and camping will be at Ceiriog Valley Park, Glyn Ceiriog, Llangollen, LL20 7NP Ceiriog Valley Park – Static Caravans, Tourers, Tents A limited number of pitches have been reserved for the competition up to the 1st May when full payment is required, so it is suggested that you book early. There is a minimum three night stay as it is a Bank Holiday, and when booking mention that it is for the paragliding competition. Motorhomes and caravans must travel via Chirk not Selattyn as the Selattyn route is narrow, twisty and steep. Also do not rely on satnav, stay on the B4500.
